GOTV Rally - Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights in Chicago
Yesterday night I was at GOTV Rally, supposedly a non-partisan event. I had my camera on hand and I took some pictures, as well as a few videos. If I find the time I might upload a small service, even though not having the microphone nor the good camera makes it a little bit difficult.

Remember when I said I love public libraries and how nobody bothers you? Well, not in America. A few days ago Steve was trying to convince me that if you are a good citizen and do nothing bad the U.S. is a nice place. Having seen from a distance the abuses by law enforcement and police brutality I was of course very skeptic.

Up until now nothing serious happened, beside my buddy a. being pulled over by the police for no reason at all, and then instigated to react on a non-existent crime just to take him to jail. It went something like this:

Here I am, back again, finally live blogging from Chicago. I took a day off from my daily activities and have some time to relax, blog and do some research. My original intention was to provide a kind of Chicago Chronicles while I was spending my time in the U.S., but the place where I am only offers, shall we say, a volatile connection. Now, thanks to the wonders of the Chicago public library I am back to work.
