In memory of Carl Sagan who would have turned 75 yesterday.

I've been re-watching Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, and every time I feel this sense of awe and inspiration.

A great man, a true scientist, a visionary, and a somewhat too ahead of his time to be understood and appreciated fully. One of the greatest people that humanity had the privilege to have.

Amazing.

I came across this old video only tonight, I was truly touched. It's impressive. The idea is so simple yet so powerful that amazes me. It all started with this great YouTuber, MadV, well known for his skills with "illusion trick", soon became a YouTube cultural icon.

Thanks to his popularity and a copious group of fans, he had the chance to start something meaningful, and he did.

It figures... many people thought it was too melodramatic. I think it's one of the most beautiful things I've seen on the internet.

He got 2,225 responses (up to March 30, 2007). Typically popular YT videos receive 7-10 responses. Then he uploaded one last video, a collection of the best responses he received.
